The Playdead Cult is moving on up. February 19, 2013 10:44
We are moving out of our Kensington Market shop and will be focusing on making ourselves and the brand more accessible to the world (and other planets perhaps as well).
Don't worry Toronto, we're not disappearing on you! We will be having regular pop-up shop events to fulfill your local shopping desires. We are also expanding our online shop to include more of the types of products that have only been available in our retail shop in the past. Believe us when we say this is going to be a good thing for everyone!
We have some really awesome collaborations and exciting projects coming up in 2013 that we are dying to tell you about, but it'll have to wait!!
For now, please support us in launching Playdead up to its next level (and get some awesome stuff for yourself and your friends) by coming out to shop at our moving sale!
EVERYTHING in the store will be discounted and in some big ways. And we're also selling a lot of our display items that we've refused to sell in the past. All for the sake of simplifying our lives and making ourselves more aerodynamic for space flight!
Open everyday from Noon until 6pm
Last Day will be Monday February 25, 2013
Please help us spread the word by sharing the event with your friends!!
If you can't make it during those hours, bug us and we may extend the hours for the final week.
EMAIL with any questions, nope we do not have a phone number but are great at emailing!! [email protected]

New Website! March 28, 2012 18:45
Hi everyone!! We are so happy to finally have our new website up and running! Thank you all for being so patient with us.
A huge thanks to Joey from G33kpron.com for helping us out with building and designing the website.
A few more announcements for anyone who has felt out of the loop while our site was down. We opened our new retail location in Kensington market in Toronto in January 2011 located at 254 Augusta Ave. We absolutely love our new neighbourhood and our new shop. If you haven't checked it out and you're in the Toronto area, come on by for a visit. We're open Tuesday-Sunday Noon to 6pm, closed on Mondays.
We're also happy to announce that Stu's band A Primitive Evolution recorded an album with John Wozniak at Mushroom Studios. It is totally epic and gorgeous and everyone who helped create it is filled with pride and excitement for its Spring 2012 release.
Along with the new album is a brand new music video for their song "I Feel It All" off the new album, The Prize. The Playdead Cult/A.P.E. team joined together with Peter J. Arvidsson of Elektrik Playground to create this stunning video and we all had a blast making it.
Hope you are all well! Make sure to get in contact if you have any questions or comments for us at [email protected]
